The aim of the school is to stimulate, activate the potential and musical imagination of each of you. It does not matter in which musical style you want to develop in the future. The course provides a lot of practical and valuable information about improvisation in the style of Joe Pass as well as Roben Ford or Steve Lukather. Part one is devoted to presenting elementary issues. The student learns the arrangement of sounds on the neck, what intervals are and how chords are built.
Next, elements useful for improvisation and solo guitar playing are discussed, namely: pentatonics, passages, modal scales, hexatonics, and many others. The last part consists of sample solo lines in which all previously discussed elements are used. They are presented in different harmonic contexts and presented step by step. Thanks to this school you will learn not only how to consciously choose sounds for solos, but also which sounds to avoid in a given context. An integral part of the course is also a 40-page booklet (inside the box), which organizes the material and allows you to return to particular issues without turning on the DVD player.
“Guitar World receives another great gift in the form of a school of playing developed by the multi-talented Polish guitar virtuoso Piotr Wójcicki. Everything is prepared professionally, competently and, what is the most important, presented in a simple, very clear and friendly form. In Piotr’s school even the most difficult issues and concepts of theory, harmony, scales or metre in practice turn out to be accessible even for completely beginner musicians. I have been influenced by Piotr’s talent for years and I welcome the appearance of this type of publication. I recommend it to everyone, not only guitarists”.
