This book is intended both for guitarists who are beginning their adventure with blues improvisation and those who are interested in a deeper study of the genre.
The scope of the lecture covers theoretical knowledge, illustrated with practical examples referring to the style of musicians such as Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, Jeff Beck or Wes Montgomery.
The textbook also contains synthesized information on the principles of music and harmony.
The manual also contains information that allows for free improvisation on the basis of twelve-bar traditional blues as well as jazz blues and minor blues.
The presented knowledge goes beyond the stylistic framework determined by the widely understood blues and the acquired knowledge can be successfully used in other styles such as rock or blues-rock and even fusion blues.
Reviews:
“Once again I am honored to add my humble “three words” to Peter’s new AD 2019 book ” Blues Improvisation School” . The book is not for everyone, but for those who do not want to close themselves within the narrow confines of a few learned patents. Development, knowledge and practice supports the talent and that is what this book is about. Examples of exercises discussed in the form of audio files are very helpful in learning, and then to control your own implementation of the example. The content captivates, takes you with it and does not let go. You seem to know a lot, you already know a lot, and yet you can’t stop, having an impression of access to secret knowledge, which, what’s interesting, is given by Piotr in a very friendly and light way”.

“The indefatigable Piotr Wójcicki on the trail of more guitar riddles. A cool and useful release.”

“Guitar School by Piotr Wójcicki dedicated to blues is another very successful position which can effectively facilitate mastering the art of phrasing, conscious building of improvisations, controlling proper articulation and is, in my opinion, desirable, both for beginners and not only, blues guitarists.
It contains a lot of theoretical information, many practical examples with described diagrams and audio examples. It contains information about articulation, tanning, there are great plays in the notation plus competent tabulations.
I think the author has put a lot of work into such a thorough discussion of the blues in a guitar context, congratulations on a very good school and to all guitarists who want to explore the idiom of the blues and improve their skills, I highly recommend it.
I am convinced that you will love this school as much as I love the blues and, to quote Jan Chojnacki, “Let BLUES BE WITH YOU”.
